In commemoration of the "International Day for Biological Diversity(May 22)", employees of Hyosung Advanced Materials Corporations(HAMC) cleaned Yongyu Beach in Yeongjong-do, Incheon as part of Adopt-a-beach Activity Program. This is the first case of Adopt-A-Beach Activities in Korea this year. The program is a project that started in Texas, USA in 1986, where companies or organizations adopt beaches and takes care of it like a companion animal.
As a company that fulfills social responsibility, HAMC plans to manage Yongyu Beach over the next three years with its executives and employees.
Not only that, HAMC conducts its biodiversity activities in variety of other ways by "Mapo Han River Plogging", preserving endangered animals and plants.
As preserving biodiversity is one of the essential activities to global climate change today, HAMC continuously plans to create a culture that conducts not just cleaning the environment but also to embrace individuals’ awareness and behaviors towards global environmental issues we are facing today.
