On May 18, Hyosung Advanced Materials(HAMC) signed a business agreement for the conservation of biodiversity and the spread of ecological culture with the National Institute of Ecology(NIE).
According to the MOU, HAMC and NIE will develop and promote ecological environment conservation and nature protection activities.
The two organizations decided to promote the ‘Jeonju pogostemon’ conservation project together as their first project. They will plant 2,000 of ‘Jeonju pogostemon’ a second-grade endangered wildlife designated by the Ministry of Environment, in Jeonju.
Kun-Jong Lee, CEO of HAMC, said “We shall actively support and participate in activities to preserve and promote biodiversity in order to build a healthy ecosystem for future generations."
