Hyosung Advanced Materials established the Safety & Health Management System through which we realize a safe and pleasant working environment for our employees and our sub-contracters’ employees.

- Hyosung Advanced Materials creates safe workplaces through safety awareness building activities and regular safety and health campaigns. We enhance employees’ awareness in safety management through its “safety-first” education & culture training programs, encouraging employees to voluntarily participate in safety management in order to prevent serious accidents and disasters.

- For better health management and easier access to medical services for our employees,
we operate health care centers as well as various health programs such as prevention of musculoskeletal disorders,
hearing ability preservation, cerebrovascular disease prevention, fight obesity and stress management.
Hyosung Advanced Materials has established the Green Management System under the supervision of Green Management Team which consists of adequate specialists in an effort to practice green management and proceed various environmental projects. In addition, all of Hyosung Advanced Materials’ production sites have an independent team dedicated to environmental safety who carry out activities to reduce environmental impact from our business operation as well as energy usage management.

Green Technology – Introduction of eco-friendly production process
‘Lyocell Tire Cord’ made of wood-extracted materials
Hyosung Advanced Materials is trying to reduce environmental affects resulted from manufacturing process by development and implementation of production processes that minimized the use of toxic chemicals.
‘Lyocell Tire Cord’, developed by Hyosung Advanced Materials as an alternative to rayon tire cord used for high-speed driving, prevents air and water pollution caused by release of hazardous chemicals and pollutant treatment. Made from wood-extracted cellulose, it does not require sulfuric acid in its manufacturing process, moreover, scarcely emits any toxic substances such as carbon disulfide and hydrogen sulfide.
Hyosung Advanced Materials also adapted a eco-friendly dip that reduces the use of toxic chemicals.
Response to Climate Change - Eco products for a low-carbon future
TANSOME® and high-strength steel cord enabling fuel efficiency improvements
Hyosung Advanced Materials aims to not only to reduce GHG in manufacturing process but also in the industry which our products are used.
TANSOME®, a high-performance carbon fiber developed for the first time in South Korea with Hyosung Advanced Materials’ technoology,
is used as a key material for the reduction of carbon emission by improving fuel efficiency in automobile and aviation from light-weighting. In addition,
recognized with its excellence in stability and functionality, TANSOME® is used in a variety of products, especially in high-pressure CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) containers,
contributing to facilitating natural gas and its market, which is regarded as a green energy source.
Resource Recycling – Raw material and waste reduction
Recycled floor carpet and mat - reducing process wastes
Hyosung Advanced Materials is trying to create new value from reusing resources discarded after use in manufacturing process and society.
In response to our customer’s need for recycled automotive carpets, we are now under development of automotive carpet using recycled BCF(Bulked Continuous Filament).
We are steering development of products utilizing not only polyester recycled chips and waste nylon from fishing nets and PET bottles,
but also wastes from the spinning process at our production lines and process wastes from our raw material suppliers.
Energy Efficiency Maximization – Reuse of waste heat and steam

Hyosung Advanced Materials reuses waste heat generated in process operation. We decrease energy consumption by reusing waste heat into manufacturing process or the boiler.
